I woulden't know personally but my neighbor was a acholic for 10 years and he quit and he looks 10 years younger !

Alcohol is just as harmful as tobacco or any other drug. It has terrible effects on lever, kidneys, heart, and other parts of the body, including skin. One of my class mates, a pretty girl, got hooked on alcohol. She started looking old and her eyes were always kind of glassy. Good thing her boyfriend talked some sense into her and she quit drinking. She is recovering her looks slowly. Yes, not only her skin, her eyes, and her hair looks much better now but she is again a pleasant person.
