Of course I am taking her to the Vet to make sure nothing is wrong. Any suggestions as to what it could be? I just noticed last night. I do have another kitten and they horse play all the time.My kitten's eye is red and it looks like it is not focused. I am very concerned.?
what could it be, it could be a ton of things
could be a cold
could be an allergic reaction (maybe she got into some dust)
could be a scratch from her sib
could be herpes (a virus that is bad)
could be cancer
ok so I'm pulling out of hat. :) chances are it is nothing, and it will just need a little ointment and she'll be fine. Even if it is a scratch it will heal right up. The vet will determine which issue she's dealing with and get her fixed up right quick. No point in stressing about what it could be until then.
Good luckMy kitten's eye is red and it looks like it is not focused. I am very concerned.?
Cats get eye infections all the time. They scratch them, get things in them, all kinds of junk. My vet usually gives me a little tube of anti-biotic ointment to put in the affected eye. It always works like a charm. Of course, you want the vet to take a look. You want to make sure nothing is in it.
What you suspect could be the case, that the other kitten got a nail in your kittens eye.. but going to the vet is indeed the best thing to do just in case it's getting infected.
alot of times kittens get colds in there eyes
